Precautions
A
- Effective only if there are sufficient stores of glycogen within the liver.
- Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular or renal disease
- Draw blood for glucose test before administration

Side Effects
A
Can cause hypotension, dizziness, headache, nausea, and vomiting although side effects are rare.
