Siting of Appliances
A
- Park minimum 300m from area until the incident site has been assessed by Bomb Response Unit personnel (BRU)
- Utilise open space wherever possible
- Park appliance facing away
- Notify CommCen of location of appliances
- All firefighters stay in rear seat, side windows open
- Maintain clear access and egress at all times
*Blast waves from explosions reflect off structures. Siting around/behind the corner may not be safe. Liaison with VicPol (Bomb Squad) is imperative when siting the appliance.
