Advertising Policies

A

Advertising Policies are designed to make ads safe for all people. Each ad is reviewed against these policies when advertisers place an order. Please familiarize yourself with the Facebook Advertising Policies to ensure that you’re building compliant and considerate ads experience.

Personal attributes

A

Ads must not contain content that asserts or implies personal attributes. This includes direct or indirect assertions or implications about a person’s race, ethnic origin, religion, beliefs, age, sexual orientation or practices, gender identity, disability, medical condition (including physical or mental health), financial status, membership in a trade union, criminal record or name.

Sexually suggestive content

A

Ads must not contain adult content. This includes nudity, depictions of people in explicit or suggestive positions, or activities that are overly suggestive or sexually provocative. Ads that assert or imply the ability to meet someone, connect with them or view content created by them must not be positioned in a sexual way or with an intent to sexualize the person featured in the ad.

Facebook’s brands

A

Ads linking to Facebook or Instagram content (including Pages, groups, events or websites that use Facebook Login) may make limited reference to “Facebook”
or “Instagram” in ad text for the purpose
of clarifying the destination of the ad. Ads shouldn’t represent the Facebook brand in
a way that makes it the most distinctive or prominent feature of the creative. Facebook brand assets shouldn’t be modified in any way, such as by changing the design or color, or for the purpose of special effects or animation.

Advertising disapprovals

A

Your ad may not be approved if it violates the previously mentioned policies mentioned, or if the landing page content isn’t fully functional, doesn’t match the product/service promoted in your ad or doesn’t fully comply with our Advertising Policies. You can edit your ad and resubmit it for review if it’s not approved for not fully complying with our policies by: Checking the email address associated with your advertising account. If your ad doesn’t get approved, we will send you an email with details that explain why 2. Editing your ad and creating a compliant one. Use the information provided in your disapproval email to bring your ad to compliance 3. Saving your edited changes. Your ad should be automatically resubmitted for review once you save your changes

Appeal the decision

A

If you can’t edit your ad or feel that it was mistakenly disapproved, you can appeal the decision by submitting a Request Review of an Ad form.
