Q

What types of Extracellular Matrix are there?

A
  • Somes that have LOTS OF CELLS embedded in it & LITTLE bits of ECM
  • Or other types that have FEW CELLS w/ ALOT of ECM (connective tissue)

Q

What is Connective Tissue?

A
  • A fibrious band of ECM that has few cells

- An example is Ligament bc it holds bones together at the joints (ACL)

Q

What is Basil Lamina?

A
  • AKA basement membrane
  • Special type of ECM that it organized into thin sheets
  • Secreted from Basil Surface (opposite side of the lumen)

Q

What is the function of the Basil Lamina?
