ECS Flashcards
What does the hot gas bypass valve do?
Allows high pressure hot gas to the suction (low pressure) side to maintain pressures. (cracks at 31-33 / full at 27-29)
What does the quench value do?
Uses R-134 to cool hot gas from the return (suction). Maintains temperature of gas returning to compressor. (45-75 F)
How many temperature sensors are in the ECS system?
24 Total (range -67 - 300 F) 2 on the compressors (low side + high side) [4] 2 on each EFAB evaporator ( air supply + return) [8] 2 on each condenser (intake + exhaust) [4] 4 in each crew station (supply + return)x2 alt [8]
How much moisture does the demister remove?
15%
When do you get an FWD/AFT LFAB/RFAB HOT msg?
Supply sensor >80 for 5 sec (aircraft power for 10 min) Squat switch AIR or GROUND
What does EFABS HOT mean?
2 or more specific EFABs are HOT
What does ECS DEGRAGED FWD/AFT mean?
Failure in DCU, Compressor, Condenser fans, EFAB fans, CPG fan, APS fan, or CPG TCV.
When will the heat shutoff value never close?
Ambient temperature
What does ECS FWD/AFT FAIL mean?
ECS1/2 MUX is not available after power on for 120(fwd) or 240(aft) compressor and/or condenser is disabled.
What does ECS FAIL mean?
Both ECS FWD and AFT FAIL are set.
Which ECS comes on first during start up?
ECS2
