What are Depressants and what are some examples
Depressants slow the activity of the nervous system
They include alcohol, narcotics derived from opium poppy, barbiturates, and sedatives

A depressant that is used for medical reasons because it offers relief from pain, anxiety, and tension
What are Stimulants and what are some examples
Stimulants speed up the heartbeat and other bodily functions.
Examples are Nicotine. cocaine, and amphetamines
