A

-Adverse effects- oral thrush, cough, dysphonia
-counseling tip- patient should rinse their mouths out with water and spit after using product
-ICS are the most effective long-term control therapy for asthma
- ICS may increase the risk of pneumonia in patients with COPD
- titrate to lowest effective dose
- high doses increase the risk of systemic side effects
- Pulmicort Respules should not use jet nebulizer and should not be mixed with any other nebulizer medication
