Emergency Scene Management
Check 1: check your surroundings
Check 2: see if casualty is responsive tap and shot
Check 3: call 911
then open the airway by tilting head up and lifting chin
check for signs of breathing for 5 seconds see if chest is rising
give 30 compressions and 2 breaths

The treatment for deadly bleeds is rest and direct pressure
Defibrillation if no signs of circulation r present
Immediately begin CPR for two minutes after two minutes AED will automatically re-analyze the rhythm, continue untill EMS arrives
Defibrillation if signs of circulation present
Monitor ABC’s leave AED attached await EMS

I’m trying is a disease involving recurrent discomfort in chest pain. Angina occurs because arteries are not delivering enough oxygen to the heart muscle for it to function properly

Heart attack
A heart attack is a blockage in a coronary artery starving the heart muscle of oxygen
How to treat a heart attack
Check 1,2-ask if they take meds

check 3- call 911 encourage deep breathing loose clothing around chest neck and treat for shock (WARTS)

Mild airway obstruction
-encourage casualty to cough forcefully
-do not allow them to isolate themselves

-do not offer fluids or drinks in order to push it down

Check 1,2- ask casualty “are you choking? i’m trained in first aid can i help you?
-stand behind casualty perform five back blows and five abdominal or chest thrust
