. Sensory impairment:
visual and hearing, decreased oral intake, dehydration, malnutrition
. Coexisting conditions:
Renal or liver impairment, history of smoking, diseases
Common drugs that cause delirium
Sedative hypnotics:
BDZ, anticonvulsives
Antipsychotics:
Chlorpromazine, haloperifil, clozapine
Antidepressants:
TCA, SSRIs
Features of dementia
LOSS OF COGNITION

+ aphasia - language
+ apraxia - motor memory
+ agnosia - sensory memory
+ abstract thinking
+ impairment in social and occupational function
