Q

Eastcheap Court Project

Tell me more about this advice you gave to your colleague who was being treated disrespectfully. Which aspect of the rules of conduct do you consider these addresses? Explain.

A

I considered Rule 4 where members and firms must treat others with respect and encourage diversity and inclusion. I advised my colleague that if they felt as though they were not treated with respect in the situation then they should report the incident to their line manager and/or the Human Resources department in ISG who will be best placed to advise on actions going forward. I also advised that I help support them in the decision to report the incident and will be present in the meetings if they required me to be present.

Q

Tell be about your experience in dealing with potential conflicts of interest?

A

I have been asked by unsuccessful subcontractors to disclose the details of the successful candidates bid as part of the feedback as to why they didn’t win the tender. I advised that this is an unethical practice that I would not be able to partake in.

Q

Give me an example where you dealt with a complaint from a stake holder, client, or subcontractor.

A

I have had complaints from subcontractors who have complained about late payment. I had therefore apologised on the companies behalf and noted their concerns which I forwarded to my manager and director for review, where I would advised that they would be contacted by my superior in due course.
