Tell me more about the advice given and how delivered
The programme and cost advice was given to the ISG Project Director who would soft land this with the client when they were visiting site. He also delivered the risks of options A and B where the subcontractor could not provide a warranty.
The Project Manager then issued the client the programme of works for each option where I issued the cost breakdowns of each option.
How did you address the risks?
The risks were addressed in the cost breakdown, where clarifications of warranties were highlighted in option A and B, where the subcontractor advised that they would not be able to provide a warranty as the existing materials were not provided and installed by themselves.
The risks to programme were delivered by the ISG Project Director and ISG Project Manager.
Based on experience from this project, what would you do differently next time?
Communication to the client should be streamlined through one point of contact for change, for example, the ISG Project Director to the Client Project Manager.
