Chacoli

A
  • Txakolin in Basque (or Chacoli in Spanish) is a traditional spritzy, high acid, low alcohol white wine from northeastern Spain in Basque country
  • In comparison to Spanish Chacoli, Chilean Chacoli historically used riper grapes, fermented in tinajas (clay amphora) and was made with Pais, Moscatel and Torontel. Today Chilean Chacoli can be found as a white, rosé, or red from many different varietals. Some are well-known like Pinot Noir and Bordeaux varietals.
