Q

define the 7 characteristics of living things

A

movement- organisms shift in position or place

respiration- chemical reaction which may or not use oxygen to produce energy in the body

sensitivity- the ability to detect a stimuli and make appropriate changes

growth- increase in size or the increase in number of cell or cell size{dry mass}

reproduction- making of the same species

excretion- the removal of toxic substances such as urine and urea from metabolic reactions as well as
substances in excess requirement

nutrition- the taking in of material such as ions,
water, oxygen for energy and growth
