A
Tobacco use, arterial HTN, diabetes

Clinical features of CAS?
A
•TIA’s
•Ipsilateral amaurosis fugax (monocular or binocular loss of vision)
Ischemic stroke
•Carotid bruit (sound heard on auscultation over the carotid artery)
•Hollenhorst plaque on fundoscopy

What diagnostic tests are ran to see the carotid stenosis?
A
Carotid duplex ultrasound
MRI or CT angiography

Medicine management of CAS?
A
Aspirin (81-325mg) or clopidogrel (75mg) PO once daily
