Ceiling effect
When a test is too easy and a lot of the ppts score the best or the maximum score. which is problematic as it does not show differences between ppts.
Original eyes test
First version of the eyes test which was criticised for many practical issues.
Quasi experiment
Involves the manipulation of the iv but there is no random assignment of ppts to conditions. (A difference already exists)
Natural experiment
The study of a naturally occurring variable. The researcher does not/cannot manipulate the iv. So, the dv is simply measured and judged as the effect of the iv.
