Adult N/V - Medication for nausea associated with migraine, PEOLC or upper GI bleed
Metoclopramide 10 mg IM/IV
Adult N/V - Medication for nausea associated with vertigo, motion sickness, pregnancy, narcotic administration or ETOH withdrawal
Gravol 50 mg IV/IM
Patients over 65 - 25 mg with 1 repeat
Adult N/V - Medication for nausea associated with chemotherapy, glucagon, gastroenteritis of unknown origin or refractory nausea to maxeran or gravol
Zofran 4 mg IV
Zofran 8 mg IM/PO
Adult N/V - S/S of extra pyramidal reaction post maxeran administration treatment?
Benadryl 25mg IV/IM
Adult N/V - Medication for nausea associated with head injury
Prophylactic:
Zofran 4 mg IV
Zofran 8 mg IM/PO
Adult N/V - Gravol indications
Nausea as a result of vertigo, motion sickness, pregnancy, ETOH withdrawal and narcotic administration
Adult N/V - Gravol dose
50 mg SIVP/IM q 4 hours
>65yo - 25 mg SIVP/IM q 15 min to a total max of 50 mg
Adult N/V - Gravol EMS contraindications
Hypersensitivity to dimenhyDRINATE, diphenhydrAMINE, or propylene glycol
Narrow angle glaucoma
Ingested large quantities of depressants
Adult N/V - Gravol precautions
1st line medication in pregnancy
Administer IM in quad muscle
Adult N/V - Maxeran indications
Nausea as a result of migraine, PEOLC or Upper GI bleed
Adult N/V - Maxeran dose
metoclopramide 10 mg IV in 50 mL NS over 5 min
Or
metoclopramide 10 mg IM
Do not repeat dose
Adult N/V - Maxeran EMS contraindications
Hypersensitivity Bowel obstruction Epilepsy Extrapyramidal reaction MAOI therapy within last 14 days Parkinson’s Disease

Nausea as a result of chemotherapy, glucagon administration, gastroenteritis of undetermined origin, or refractory to metoclopramide or dimenhyDRINATE
Adult N/V - Zofran dose
ondansetron 4 mg SIVP q 8 hours
ondansetron 8 mg IM/PO Do not repeat

Hypersensitivity
