Adult BB/CCB OD - Hypoglycemia?
Treat as per hypoglycemia protocol
Adult BB/CCB OD - What must be administered prior to medications in this toxidrome?
2x 20 ml/kg fluid boluses
Adult BB/CCB OD - Which medication can be given at the same time as the fluid boluses?
Atropine, if required according to the Bradycardia protocol
Adult BB/CCB OD - Glucagon indication?
Hypotensive beta blocker or calcium channel blocker overdose refractory to fluid boluses

2 mg SIVP/IO/IM q 10 min prn total max of 6 mg
Adult BB/CCB OD - Glucagon contraindications?
Hypersensitivity to glucagon, beef or pork proteins
Adult BB/CCB OD - Glucagon precautions?
Use with caution if cardiovascular or renal disease
Glucagon may cause nausea and vomiting
Adult BB/CCB OD - Ondansetron indication?
Nausea and vomiting as a result of glucagon administration
Adult BB/CCB OD - Ondansetron dose?

Adult BB/CCB OD - calcium chloride contraindications?
Hypersensitivity
Hypercalcemia
Patients with digitalis toxicity
Adult BB/CCB OD - calcium chloride precautions?
Avoid extravasation due to the risk of tissue irritation / necrosis

Patients with hypocalcemia in whom alkalosis may induce tetany
Adult BB/CCB OD - sodium bicarbonate precautions?
Use with caution in CHF, severe renal impairment, concurrent corticosteroid treatment
Avoid extravasation due to the risk of tissue irritation / necrosis
