When is a Qual 7 done?
An enhancement block of training instruction that can be conducted at the direction of executive staff or a supervisor, as a result of Critical Incident Review Team (CIRT) findings, and/or as a training enhancement. The training administered under Qual-7 will be selected from the FTTU approved firearms training catalog of classes.

in a manner to not be discernible from ordinary observation

the member will check out a department firearm, magazines, and ammunition from that respective unit until their firearm is returned. Who are excempt from low lethal quals and when do they qual
Captains and above. Semi-Annually (First and third quarter). They will complete their second quarter training on their 3rd quarter qual.
What is the consequence for weapons carriers who do not attain a 75% minimum on two qualifications even after attending a 20-hour remedial session?
They are no longer authorized to carry a handgun.
Fttu rangemaster will make notifications to Bureau commanders
- If an officer wants to be certified with their rifle but the Officers has not qualified with their rifle in 3+ years. What must they do?
- Officers who lapsed qualifications and have not qualified up to the 3 year mark what is their requirement?
- 40 hour certification class again
- 10 hour refresher course.
What is the potential consequence for the deployment of rifles in violation of policy?
Members may face revocation of certification and authorization to carry the rifle.
What is the max opportunity a person is given to pass a rifle qual? what happens next? If the officer fails to pass the re-certification class
two times. They are decertified and must take a 10-hour rifle re-certification class. If they fail the re-certfiication class they must attend the 40 hour rifle class again. Department issue rifles will be returned to suplly.
Officers who certification has lapsed due to military service or FMLA or another approved exemption may requalify to resume certification
