637 Loss of Plant Nitrogen Flashcards
1.1 IMMEDIATE ACTIONS
CCR 1.1.1 - CONTACT Lubes Utility Console Operator to determine cause and duration of Nitrogen outage.
Oper 1.1.2 - IF Nitrogen (N2) is in use from Utility Stations, CLOSE Nitrogen supply valve at Utility Station.
1.1.3 - ENSURE Emergency Backup 12 pack N2 bottles are in service as follows:
Oper
A. ENSURE both 3/4” valves from 12 pack N2 bottles to 67PCV9030, Pressure Regulator are open
B. ENSURE 3/4” valve downstream of 67PCV9031, Pressure Regulator is open.
C. CLOSE 3/4” valve from 12 pack N2 bottles upstream of 67PCV9031, Pressure Regulator.
D. MONITOR N2 pressure at 67PV8022, Nitrogen Pump Seal Pressure Regulator, and verify valve is closed when pressure is below 150 psig.
E. OBTAIN extra 12 pack Nitrogen Bottles and place in location for easy swap out of emptied 12 pack Nitrogen bottles.
F. WHEN 12 pack Nitrogen bottles in service have fallen to ~140 psig.
G. REPLACE emptied 12 pack Nitrogen Bottles with fresh 12 pack Nitrogen Bottles.
1.2 SUPPLEMENTAL ACTIONS
Oper 1.2.1 - WHEN the Plant Nitrogen supply has been restored to 637 HDS Unit VERIFY 67PC8022, Nitrogen Pump Seal Pressure Regulator, is Open.
Oper 1.2.2 - ENSURE backup Nitrogen bottles are stationed next to Nitrogen valves.
Oper 1.2.3 - PLACE Emergency Backup 12 pack N2 bottles in backup mode
