637 Loss of Lean Amine Flashcards
1.1 IMMEDIATE ACTIONS
CCR/Oper 1.1.1 - CONTACT Sulfur Recovery Complex to determine cause and duration of outage.
CCR/Oper 1.1.2 - IF lean amine flow is lost, NOTIFY FCCU to prepare to line up FCCU Splitter to off test tank.
CCR/Oper 1.1.3 - ENSURE the DCS tripped 67FV6001 Lean Amine Flow Controller closed.
CCR/Oper 1.1.4 - ENSURE 67XV5198 Lean Amine Chopper valve is closed.
CCR/Oper 1.1.5 - STOP 534 LKN Feed and Hvy Py Gas from tankage (if in service) to reduce the amount of H2S content in the Hydrogen Recycle Gas stream.
1.1.6 - ADJUST the following to maintain ON-SPEC Product:
CCR
A. INCREASE Unit Hydrogen purge
B. INCREASE Unit Hydrogen makeup
C. INCREASE SCANfiner Rx inlet temperature
CCR/Oper 1.1.7 - IF Lean Amine flow is stopped and will not be returned to service, perform the following, 637-SOP-1004, Normal Unit Shutdown, or, IF it’s a known temporary outage perform the following, REQUEST the FLUID UNIT line up FCCU Splitter Tower Overhead and Bottoms flows to Off-Test Tank
CCR/Oper 1.1.8 - COORDINATE with Sulfur Recovery Complex (SRC), and, determine cause and duration of Lean Amine outage.
Oper 1.1.9 - CLOSE both outlet isolation valves on (Rich Amine) Level Control Valve (67LV6001) for Amine Contactor (637T0001), to maintain a liquid seal and prevent hydrogen gas release to SRC.
1.2 SUPPLEMENTAL ACTIONS
1.2.1 - NOTIFY the following of loss of lean amine at 637 HDS Unit, and possible off-test product:
CCR/Oper
*Supervisor
*Lube Utilities Console Operator
*FCCU Console Operator
*SRC Console Operator
*BBC Console Operator
1.2.2 - MONITOR the following on Compressor (637C0001):
CCR
*Motor Amperage as indicated by Amperage Indicator
*Outlet Temperature as indicated by Temperature Transmitter
CCR/Oper 1.2.3 - MAINTAIN Operations until Supervision decides to place unit on circulation or shut down.
THIS IS THE END OF THE PROCEDURE
