Natural death :
A
Without lesions, usually not possible
- aging–> senile atrophy

A
- usually all dies a pathological death , by the leasions
- results from diseases

A
Death caused by a defect of either: if 1 shuts down the other follows
- Brain
- Heart
- Lungs

Sudden death
A
Mors subita
Agony phase:
- convulsions
- muscle constrictions
- loss of senses due to increased CO₂ levels.
Final stage: Muscle relaxation before complete death.
Euthanasia can be used to minimize suffering.

Clinical death
A
- No breathing
- No heartbeat
- Tissues and organs survive for a while
This allows for resuscitation, organ transplants, and tissue culturing. If not reversed, it leads to pathological agony (“intermediate life”) and eventually absolute death.

Recognition of death
A
- No heartbeat
- No response to sensory or sensitive stimuli
- No reflexes (Pupil etc.)
- Post mortem changes
