我再也不去那家咖啡馆了!
为什么?发生了什么事?
这是我一周内第三次遇到糟糕的服务了。我不指望有五星级的待遇,但我希望服务行业的员工至少要有礼貌。
I’m never going to that coffee house again!
Why? What happened?
It’s the third time in a week that I’ve had lousy service. I don’t expect five-star treatment, but I do expect service industry employees to be at least civil.

我走进去,走到柜台前下订单。在那里工作的女人正在和她的朋友,也就是另一位顾客交谈。我站在那里,很明显需要被招呼,而她根本就不在乎。
What happened this time?
I walked in and went up to the counter to place my order. The woman working there was talking to her friend, another customer. I stood there, clearly needing to be waited on and she couldn’t have cared less.

你在开玩笑吗?她一秒钟都没有停止说话。当她终于喘口气的时候,我告诉她我的订单。
You mean she didn’t even acknowledge you?
Are you kidding? She didn’t stop talking for one second. When she finally took a breath, I told her my order.
她给了我一个鄙视的眼神,最后转身去拿我的咖啡。她几乎是把它扔给了我。
好吧,也许她今天心情不好。至少你拿到了你的咖啡。
She gave me a dirty look and finally turned around to get my coffee. She practically threw it at me!
Well, maybe she was having a bad day. At least you got your coffee.

I got a cup of coffee, but not the kind I ordered. When I realized it, I went back to the counter and she was still talking to her friend. I interrupted her and told her that I got the wrong order.

She had the chutzpah to try to tell me that I had made a mistake in telling her my order. Not only did she not take responsibility for her mistake, she tried to tell me that it was my fault!
这真的很让人生气。你打算怎么做?
她和她的朋友谈了这么久,有一个好处就是我知道了她的名字。我会给经理打电话投诉的。
That’s really infuriating. What are you going to do?
One good thing about her talking with her friend for so long is that I got her name. I’ll be calling the manager to complain.

不,我没有。她很幸运,我没有把咖啡倒在她头上。
Aren’t you overreacting?
No, I’m not. She’s lucky I didn’t pour the coffee over her head!
