Describe how a patient may present with vaginal lichen sclerosus and planus?
What is the mainstay of treatment of both?
Sclerosus = itchy, skin tightness and PORCELAIN-WHITE patch appearance
Planus = itchy = papular rash = purpuric = 50% of patients also in the mouth
Potent topical steroids
Sclerosus - needs 3-6mthnly checkups
~ if extensive need oral steroids
What is the normal amount of weight loss in a newborn?
What should you do if this is it goes over that?
<10%
if >10% - refer to midwife breast-feeding clinic - if not breastfeeding ?
