  • A psychological study completed in the 1960s by Stanley Milgram
  • Studied the willingness of individuals to follow the order of an authority figure even when the order conflicts with their own moral judgement
  • Participants were told to administer increasingly powerful electric shocks to another individual for the purpose of the study
