What is Allodynia?
Pain produced by a non-noxious stimulus.
What is Analgesia?
Complete loss of pain sensitivity. (while conscious)
What is Astereognosis?
Inability to recognize the form and shape of object by touch.
What is Causalgia?
Painful, burring sensations, usually along the distribution of a nerve.
(Usually develops after peripheral nerve injury)
What is Dysesthesia?
Touch sensation experienced as pain.
What is Hypalgesia?
Decreases sensitivity to pain.
What is Hyperalgesia?
Increased sensitivity to pain?
What is Hyperesthesia?
Increased sensitivity to sensory stimuli
What is Hypoesthesia?
Decreased sensitivity to sensory stimuli
What is Paresthesia?
Abnormal sensation such as numbness, pricking or tingling.
What is Anesthesia?
Absence of touch sensation.
What is Pallanesthesia?
Loss of vibration sense
