When was Dartford?

Dartford details
York summoned at Council at Coventry but refused and he issued a manifesto blaming Somerset for failings in England and France. Henry issued commissions of array to gather men. York marched to London with men and they closed the gates and lots of nobles had joined Henry. Henry agreed to lock up Somerset and York dismissed his army. Anjou ordered Somerset to be freed and York was virtually a prisoner and had to apologise at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Henry summoned York at council on Leicester but York turned up with 3,000 men and Henry had less than 2,000 men. Warwick arrived unexpectedly and and within half an hour 60 men were killed including Somerset, Clifford, and Northumberland.

Salisbury has 3,000-4,000 men and Audley had 10,000. Salisbury pretended to retreat and Audley believed it. Lord Audley was killed along with 2,000 other Lancastrians and 1,000 Yorkists.

Andrew Trollope 600 Calais troops switched sides to the Lancastrians. Yorkists switched sides to Lancastrians due to promise of a pardon. York fled to Ireland and Edward, Earl of March, Warwick and Salisbury fled to Calais
When was Northampton?
10th July 1460
Northampton details
Battle lasted half an hour as Lancastrians were outnumbered and quickly defeated. Buckingham, Shrewsbury, Egremont and Beaumont were killed guarding King’s tent. Henry was taken alive on Warwick’s orders. York is still in Ireland.
When was Walefield?

Wakefield details
York had 12,000 men and Lancastrians had 20,000 men. York, Rutland, and Salisbury were killed. York’s head was put on display on Micklegate in York and a paper crown was put on it.

Warwick was betrayed by Sir Henry Lovelace. Yorkists arrows fell short due to wind and snow dampened power of the canon. Lord Bonville was executed. Henry was reunited with Margaret and Edward

Towton details
Ferrybridge was day one and Towton was day two. Lord Clifford was killed Yorkist resilience. Snow and wind blew in Lancastrians’ faces on second day. 28,000 were killed.
When was Hedgley Moor?
25th April 1464
Hedgeley Moor details
Montagu confronted by Somerset. Montagu attacked and killed Ralph Percy scattering his army. Somerset fled to Scotland with Henry and Margaret

Hexham details
Somerset Hungerford and Roos were beheaded after being defeated by Montagu.
