How does the lens change as a person ages?
It hardens, compacts, and forms a cataract
Glaucoma is not curable so what can be done?
It can be slowed with tx.
- Medications: relive the pressure in the eye (intraocular HTN)
- Trabeculoplasty (open angled glaucoma)
- trabeculectomy
What is a contraindication for an MRI to assess the eye?
metal in the eye
