RELATIVISM:
truth is relative to your perspective
optimism -> science can be used to fix government + solve other problems
pessimism -> if there are no fixed truths life has no meaning
- no fixed morality -> science can be used for anything, like chemical warfare
- eugenics
- no moral truths -> movement back to traditional structures, KKK revival
BOTH:
there are no absolute truths!!
