Anterograde Amnesia
A
The inability to create new memory
- usually is the last to recovery after a comatose state.

Contributing Factors to Anterograde Amnesia
A
Poor Attention, Distractability, Impaired Perception of Stimuli

Post-Traumatic Amnesia
A
The time between the injury and when the patient is able to recall recent events.
- Patient DOES NOT recall the injury or events up until this point of recovery
- Used as indicator of the extent of damage

Retrograde Amnesia
A
An inability to remeber events prior to injury.
- May progressively decrease with recovery
