Poliomyelitis is a viral infection resulting in neuropathy that includes focal and assymetrical motor impairments
- Lower Motor Neuron pathology affecting anterior horn cells previously affected with polio
- PPS occurs when compensated reinnervation fails and results in ongoing muscle denervation
