Indications

A

• Pts with STEMI (as defined by relevant QAS coronary artery reperfusion checklist) who have been accepted for pCI (as an adjunct medication to aspirin & heparin AND the receiving cardiologist is requesting administration

Contraindications

A
  • Allergy and/or adverse drug reaction
  • Current use of ticagrelor or clopidogrel
  • <18yrs
  • Active bleeding (exclud. menses)
  • Hx intercranial haemorrhage
  • Hx hepatic impairment

  • Concomitant meds known to induce bradycardia (e.g B-blockers, CCBs, digoxin)
  • Symptomatic bradycardia (HR<60)
