Indications
A
• Pts with STEMI (as defined by relevant QAS coronary artery reperfusion checklist) who have been accepted for pCI (as an adjunct medication to aspirin & heparin AND the receiving cardiologist is requesting administration

Contraindications
A
- Allergy and/or adverse drug reaction
- Current use of ticagrelor or clopidogrel
- <18yrs
- Active bleeding (exclud. menses)
- Hx intercranial haemorrhage
- Hx hepatic impairment

Precautions
A
- Concomitant meds known to induce bradycardia (e.g B-blockers, CCBs, digoxin)
- Symptomatic bradycardia (HR<60)
