Brought a number of reforms to Attica

Brining unity and peace to the warring towns that surrounded Athens
How did Theseus bring peace ?
He negotiated their allegiance to Athens by promising they would be ruled by democracy and not a king
What would this give them the opportunity for ?
They could still lead allowing them some independence but Thesuss could still be commander in times of war and Kepler of laws

Went around destroying towns town halls and council chambers and built ones in Athens instead

Initiated the Panathenaic games where all Athenians had the opportunity to contest and represent their tribe
