Who is Jupiter and what are some common symbols of him?
Jupiter: king of the gods and controller of the skies (Zeus)
Symbols/ recognition: bearded man wearing a lighting bolt, could be shown hiding an eagle or seated on a throne with a sceptre
Who is Neptune and what are some common symbols of him?
Neptune: brother of Jupiter, god of the seas, earthquakes and storms important to Roman’s as they expanded through the Mediterranean
Symbols/ recognition: bearded man holding a trident, horses (random but true)
Who is Pluto and what are some common symbols of him?
Pluto: (hades) god of the underworld
Symbols/ recognition: legit nothing but often appears on Roman Sarcophagi
Who is Juno and what are some common symbols of her?
Juno: (Hera) queen of gods and responsible for marriage, women, childbirth and the family

Ceres: (Demeter) goddess of the harvest and grain so incredibly important for roman plebs who relied of grain for survival

Vesta: (hestia)goddess of the hearth and fire, very important for family and the state, fire symbolizes security of the state

Mars: (ngl it’s just Ares) god of war but was also loosely associated with agriculture. Extremely important or Romans.
