- Roman priests would not preach a way of life or moral code
- they did care if someone killed aslong as the Pax deorum was upheld - Worked part time ( Rest of time spent doing business or politics)

- Roman priests were not assigned to a specific temple or god
- veiled their heads when engaging in their religious duties
Why might a Roman citizen want to become a priest ?
- it could greatly increase their political power and could help to progress a Roman into a political career so many served as priests
