- Local oil based antibiotic/antimycotic mixture
- Gram positive_: bacitracin_
- Gram negative: colistin, gentamicin
- Antimycotic: nystatin
- Elimination of primary cause
- Foreign body in ear (grass, hay, straw,…)
- Disturbance of keratinization (endocrinology: hypothyroidea, hyperadrenocorticism,… )
- Immune mediated: food allergy, atopic dermatitis, autoimmune,…
- Ectoparasites
