- tricyclic antidepressant
- potentiates activity of NE and 5HT by blocking their reuptake
- anticholinergic effect -> cause drowsiness, dry mouth, urinary difficulty
- off label use: sleep, neuropathic pain
- 40 - 150 mg in divided doses or qhs

- 75 - 150 mg daily

- imipramine
- tricyclic antidepressant
- used for depression, prevent bed wetting in children
- determine pediatric weight: max of 2.5mg/kg/day; anything over will cause cardiotoxicity
- 50 - 75 mg qhs
- PM capsules: 50 - 150 mg daily
