A
  • amitriptyline
  • tricyclic antidepressant
  • potentiates activity of NE and 5HT by blocking their reuptake
  • anticholinergic effect -> cause drowsiness, dry mouth, urinary difficulty
  • off label use: sleep, neuropathic pain
  • 40 - 150 mg in divided doses or qhs
