Q
  • Closure Test
A
  • Step-rate test: gives upper bound of Pc (use pump-in to get lower bound). Plot rate v press in BHP graph
  • Flowback test (1/4 of last rate in step test)-inflection points in rate change give Pc at intersection

Q

Calibration decline test

A
  • Calibration decline test-use to confirm Pc and Pnet (Pnet=ISIP-Pc), leakoff coefficient, height, Xf,width
    • Use G function here

Q

Calibration Injection

A
  • Calibration Injection (fluid/rate the same as in pad)-gives fracture geometry (PKN,KGD,Radial)

Q

Closure P

A
  • Closure P is avg value of stress acting perpendicular to fracture face where fracture is a 0 height
    • Net Pressure = BHP – Pc = ISIP – Pc = ISIPPost - ISIPPre
    • PBH = PWB + PHyd - PFric
