KSQR- Execution Part 3 Flashcards
If we have 90 tanks on location, how many do we need to take a sample from before the job to test with?
Answer: All 90 tanks will be required to have a sample taken from.
What do we periodically test the crosslinker for during the job?
Answer: We take samples to check the pH and perform a visual inspection. We also use these samples to conduct the crosslink time checks to validate what the lab testing shows.
How much water/mix fluid is required to be taken from each tank/vessel prior to the start of the job?
Answer: We are required to take 2 gallon samples from each water tank, meaning that we have to somehow store 180 gallons of water on the 90 tank example.
When taking samples what are 2 considerations that should be kept in mind per the KSQR?
- That we take samples in such as way to avoid contamination
- That we clearly label and store these for future use if needed.
What must take place if significant changes occur prior to or during the job?
Answer: PRIOR TO THE JOB – the changes must be agreed upon with the company representative as well as line management and documented, a new HARC must be conducted, and the MOC process must be utilized with any required exemptions. DURING THE JOB – If they fall within the contingencies discussed during the pre-job meeting, proceed as discussed. If otherwise, the job supervisor or engineer must use their judgment to either temporarily shut down and follow proper MOC procedures or stop the job completely and proceed as directed by line management.
