Answer: pressure relief valves on pumps, over-pressure shutdown switches, burst disks on triplex pumps
According to Std. 30 there are two properties that are used to determine fluid flammability rating. What are they and how are they determined?
Answer: Flash point, determined by the closed cup test, and vapor pressure, determined by the Reid test. They should also be available on the MSDS sheet.
What is an SDS and what is found on it?
Answer: Safety Data Sheet. Numerous characteristics of the substance including chemical composition, identification (color, odor, form), health and environmental hazards, first aid measures, handling instructions, emergency contact info, etc…
How do coveralls and equipment painting factor into the KSQR?
Answer: In order to promote a professional image, employee coveralls must be “clean and tatter free” and equipment must be painted according to SLB painting standards.
In your district, how are bulk volumes and additive calculations verified prior to job loadout?
- Verification of quantities by bulk plant prior to loading out and/or blending
- Verification of quantities on load out sheet after loading
What are 2 things that line management needs to be aware of and review with the supervisor prior to every job?
Answer: The job program and the SQ risk assessment
Is it a requirement of the KSQR to perform a SQ risk assessment with line management prior to every job?
Answer: YES!
