TAI YANG STAGE: Pathogenic COld
Symptoms: Headache, fever with chills, aversion to cold, general aches, no sweat, SOB, pain in posterior head/neck
Tongue: Thin white coat
Pulse: floating and tight
TAI YANG STAGE: Pathogenic Wind
Symptoms: Aversion to wind, sweating (Wei Qi disruption)
Pulse: Floating
SHAO YANG STAGE: Half External, Half Internal
Symptoms: Alternating chills/fever, hypochondriac pain/fullness, dull expression, loss of appetite, desire to vomit, irritability, bitter taste, dry throat, blurred vision
Tongue: White or yellow coat
Pulse: Wiry
YANG MING STAGE: Yang Ming Channel (4 Bigs)
Symptoms: Big sweat, big thirst, big fever, big/flooding pulse, red face, irritability, no aversion to cold
Tongue: Dry, thin yellow coat
YANG MING STAGE: Yang Ming Fu (Internal Heat with Constipation)
Symptoms: Fever worse in afternoon, constipation, abdominal pain/fullness
Tongue: thick yellow coat
Pulse: Deep and Forceful
TAI YIN STAGE: Deficiency Cold
Symptoms: Abdominal fullness (better with warmth/pressure), vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, no thirst
Tongue: Pale with white sticky coat
Pulse: Slow and weak
SHAO YIN STAGE: Shao Yin Cold
Symptoms: Chills, curled-up posture, listlessness, cold limbs, diarrhea with undigested food, no thirst or thirst for warm drinks, clear/coping urine, absence of fever
Tongue: Pale with white coat
Pulse: Deep and weak
SHAO YIN STAGE: Shao Yin Heat
Symptoms: Low-grade fever, irritability, insomnia, dry mouth/throat, yellow scanty urine
Tongue: Red tip, deep red with thin white coat
Pulse: Rapid and thready
JUE YIN STAGE: Mixed Cold and heat
Symptoms: Persistent thirst, feeling of air rushing to chest, warm/painful chest, hunger with no desire to eat, cold limbs, diarrhea, vomiting of roundworms
Tongue: Red papules with sticky white coat
Pulse: Deep and wiry
