Why does China argue that their use of fossil fuels shouldn’t be restricted? Why is this controversial?
- The USA were allowed unrestricted use of fossil fuels to develop and become a world leading superpower - China believe they should be allowed the same
- There was less realisation in the past about the impacts consuming fossil fuels would have on the environment. Technology is now so far developed that a country should be able to develop without the need for major fossil fuel use if it wishes to do so
