Describe the input stage

A
  • Info is gained by senses from the display
  • Performer uses perception to interpret the information and judge which of the cues from the display is needed
  • Cues from the display are filtered into the relevant and irrelivant by selective attention
  • Performer focuses on relevant cues and ignores the rest

  • A decision is made on what action to take
  • Memory system is engaged and previous experiences are reflected on
  • Relevant motor programe is retrieved and sent out to the muscles in readiness to produce the skill
