May also cause an avulsion of the bone
Symptoms include:
Severe pain
Increased edema
Abnormal joint motion

Caused by some type of blunt trauma to soft tissues
Rupture of small blood vessels
Hemorrhage at the site
Hematoma
Pain, swelling, and discoloration
