  2. Studies of the vertebrae may show a compression fracture
  3. Bone biopsy demonstrates an ↑osteoid

Laboratory studies
1. ↓Serum calcium and phosphorus

  1. Moderately ↑alkaline phosphatase concentration
  2. ↓urine excretion of Ca and creatinine
