A
- Older adults that are poorly nourished or obese
- Impaired immune system
- Those with chronic illness (DM, rheumatoid arthritis)
- Long-term corticosteroid therapy
- Those with IV drugs
- Post-op surgical wound infections typically occur within 30 days post-op
- With implant used within a year after surgery
- Surgical site ink markers have been linked to infections by cross contaminations between pre-op pt
