e.g runners in 100m race against you
social reinforcers
people who have a direct infleunce on performance e.g coach who can offer tactical advice
which of the people are passive and which are active
first two-audience and coactors are known to be passive as dont have direct influence on vent but presence can increase araousal of performer
second two-social reinforcers and competiors-more activelly involved as can giv encourage or cause distractions
evaluation apprehension
the perceived fear of being judged
can occur if people watching are known to the player
e.g family watching and you excep omments from them after your performances
affects of presence of others on performers

expert-more likely to cope with demands of the crowd and will be motivated and encouraged by support, social facilitation
ways to prevent social inhibition
- getting the players familair in playing in front of a crowd
coach should get players to train with distractions of an audeince to get used to being watched-familirarisation
coach could get some unfamilar faces to support-player can get used to being watched na dlearn to cope with it
2.gradually introduce evalusation
as player becomes more experienecd, shuld start to have more asssessments
sheets staistics ad one to one interviews
imporving focus and concentration
players can use selctive attention betterr, by focusing more on relevent info such as the game rather then irrelevent info sucha s the crowds
