Soc 9 Long Term Training Effects Flashcards
What are the long term effects of aerobic exercise
The heart becomes more efficent. The main benefits are musculo system, the cardio respiratory system and your peformance. This will increase the ability to work for long periods of time aswell as working at a moderate intensity level with oxygen
What is the long-term effect of anaerobic training?
Anaerobic training is working at high intensity training level without oxygen witch will train your explosive fitness. In terms of the training it will increase to move in quick burts such as sprinting for the ball in football
What are the long-term effects of training on the musculo-skeletal system?
Increase bone density, increase strength of ligaments and tendons, muscle hypertrophy
Cardio-resporatory( your heart)
Decreased resting heart rate, faster recovery rate, increased resting stroke volume, maximum cardiac output, size and strength of the heart
What are the long-term effects of training on your blood?
Improved fitness increases the number of capillaries in your muscles, increase number of red blood cells, drop in resting blood pressure
Effects on the respiratory system or the lungs
Increase lung capacity/volume and vital capacity, increase number of alveoli
Alveoli
Tiny sacs within our lungs that allow oxygen and carbon dioxide to move between the lungs and bloodstream
Diaphragm
The primary nuscke used in the process if unspiration or inhalation
Cardiac output
The amount of blood ejected from your heart in one minute (co)=(sv)x(hr)
Resting stroke volume
The amount of blood number per beat
Recovery rate
The soeed which your heart returns to RHR after you exercise
Adaptation
Your body response to training and how your body changes to cope with new activity
