Specificity
Matching training to the requirements of an activity. E.G. a center midfielder in football would need high level of cardiovascular fitness
Target zone
This area between the minimum and maximum thresehold of training
Progressive overload
Gradually increasing the amount of overload so as to gain fitness without the risk of injury. E.G a runner if they would want to improve there running wouldnt go out and run 20k they would graudully run futher and futher each day to improve.

For strength overload trainh may mean lifiting a weight at a 60 to 80 per cent of maximum effort. E.G if your one rep max was 120 your training zone would be 70 to 90 becasue this is 60 to 80% of your
