Soc 9 - Long Term Effects Of Excercise Flashcards

1
Q

What are the long term training affects of aerobic training. Moderate intensity - with oxygen.

A

Aerobic training will increase the ability to work for long periods of time, i.e. cardiovascular fitness. E.g. improves time for long distance runners or the ability to run for 90 minutes of a football game.

Q

What is the long term effect of anaerobic training. High intensity - low oxygen

A

Anaerobic training will increase the ability to move in quick bursts i.e speed, power. For e.g. sprinting for the ball in a football match or improves time over shorter sprints.
