What is BODY COMPOSISTION

Body composition is the percentage of body weight that is muscle, fat or bone.
A sporting example is that Mo farah would have very little muscle or fat. However Usain Bolt would have little fat but lots of muscle.
What is BODY MASS INDEX (BMI)
Not a component of fitness, just need to know
BMI is weight divided by height squared
What is MUSCULAR STRENGTH
And one sporting example
The amount of force a muscle can exert against a resistence
Weight lifters would need high muscular strength so they can lift the heviest resistences
What is MUSCULAR ENDURANCE
And one example
Muscular endurance is the ability to use voluntary muscles repeatedly without getting tired.
In swimming they have to have high muscular endurance to use voluntary muscles for a amount of time without getting tired. Or tennis.
What is FLEXIBILITY
And one example
Flexibility is the range of motion in your joints
Gymnastics need high flexibily to perform their moves. Also someone who plays badminton as they have to reach the shuttlecock.
What is CARDIOVASCULAR FITNESS
And one example
The ability to exercise your whole body for long periods of time.
And long distance runners
